The photovoltaic material is printed on a roll of conductive plastic [4] using fast newspaper printing technology. Printing enables one to achieve high materails utilizationof the photoactive material. As a result, this simple, highest-yield technique in plain air is capital-efficient and eliminates the need for costly vacuum deposition techniques such as conventionally used to fabricate thin-film solar cells (Figure 1.3).
